Todmorden Badminton Club runs this website and is responsible for any personal information you share with us through it. We handle your information under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Your contact details and message, if you email us, use the contact form or message us on WhatsApp. The contact form doesn’t store anything on this website; it opens your own email app so you can send the message to us.
- Membership details, if you join the club, such as your name, how to contact you and your membership level.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. It’s hosted on GitHub Pages, which may keep basic technical logs (like IP addresses) to run and protect the service.
How we use your information
We use it to reply to you, run your membership and let you know about club nights, matches and events. We rely on your consent, or on our legitimate interest in running the club. We don’t sell your information or share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Names and photos
Some players’ names and nicknames appear on this website. If you’d like yours, or any photo of you, taken down, email us and we’ll remove it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to answer your message or run your membership.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it. Email info@todmordenbadmintonclub.co.uk. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
